Frames are up!

After delays due to the rain in sydney our frames went up and was finished off 2 weeks go. Plumbing rough was completed last week and now waiting for the bricks.

Had some issues with our windows for the second floor which haven't been installed as yet. Our SS advised that there was an issue with them and it needs to be send back to the manufacturer to get it fixed.

Hopefully the rain in stops so they can start the brick work.

We have a slab!! Finally!

After 2 months of frustration with the water board approval, our file was handed to the construction team before Xmas and our slab was finally laid down over a week ago.

We weren't expecting much to happen considering the shutdown period but to our surprise things have started. SO now hoping for the best.

External drainage going in next week and frames will be delivered on 1 Feb as advised by our SS.

Council Approval Received

We received our DA approval on 25th of September. Six weeks after lodgement to council which is a great result and we are so happy to get it in this time frame.

Now just getting together all our documents so EB can commence construction.

Can't wait!!

Update

We started our journey back in March 2009, we have purchased our land in the Nelsons Ridge Estate and have decided to build a Cambridge home with Eden Brae.

Our plans were approved by the developers in Jul 09 and currently are in council awaiting DA approval. We are in the process of doing our internal colour selections.

Welcome

We have embarked on the journey of building our first home. Start of what am sure will be a long journey. Hope to share our experiences with our fellow first timers and everyone out there building.
